Cognilode Marketplace exposes its public catalog as a small read-only MCP service for ChatGPT, MCP-capable agents, developer tools, and other discovery clients. The canonical product pages, seller program, search value, and marketplace identity remain on cognilode.com.
What the integration does
Search. Fetch. Hand the buyer a canonical listing.
Search accepts a natural-language marketplace query and returns matching listing IDs, titles, and canonical Cognilode URLs.
Fetch returns the public details for one listing: seller, category, description, displayed price, checkout provider, checkout URL, and canonical listing URL.
The integration is deliberately read-only. It cannot create listings, place orders, charge a buyer, edit seller information, access private accounts, or impersonate a seller.

Use external directories as acquisition channels, not as the source of truth.
The catalog answers
Machine clients search the same public inventory buyers can browse on cognilode.com instead of a shadow product database.
The domain compounds
Results point back to the Cognilode listing so editorial context, internal links, seller pages, collections, and search equity accrue to the marketplace we operate.
Trust stays explicit
During the founding phase, checkout remains with each disclosed provider. Cognilode does not claim custody of third-party seller funds.

Designed to be boring at the permission boundary.
The marketplace MCP is unauthenticated and read-only because it exposes only the same public listing information available on the website. It does not sync private data and does not expose write actions.
Seller checkout, tax, fulfillment, refunds, and account permissions remain governed by the seller and the disclosed checkout provider. See the privacy policy, terms, and trust page.
Directory status: this page documents a distribution-ready public capability. It does not claim that OpenAI or any other directory has approved, verified, featured, or endorsed Cognilode Marketplace.
Supply makes the market
The next milestone is independent inventory, not another Cognilode SKU.
Founding sellers can keep an existing reputable checkout while receiving a canonical Cognilode listing, structured metadata, category discovery, and agent-readable distribution.
